Big Business

Here is my newbie! Big Business, one of my fave bands for always and ever, but I don't have their latest album because I'm broke. I'd like a new tshirt of theirs too. This peice will be going to Modern Eden Gallery in San Fransisco for the Dark Art" Tribute to Metal in August, unless they simply hate it and refuse to show it. It's my idea of what the character in the song "grounds for divorce" would look like, kinda jack frosty in the fact that his breath kills all plant life, except it doesn't grow back- and I have a few exciting announcements I will be making soon too.......

i'm emerging from cave man status, well a little....

I've just recently decided to try to come out and join the digital age a little more, or i guess I didn't decide to, I just started messing with coloring some of my drawings digitally. Heres my drawing before, which was pencil and marker that I scanned and colored, or attempted to color on the computer. I kinda like it! I usually don't use the computer to make artwerks because I work on the computer about 8-10 hours a day and thats the last thing I wanna do is sit at the computer more, but maybe I should embrace my fat of sitting and staring at the screen for all eternity. Amanda May Spam-a-lam!

my first painting of 2011!!! Its been a while since I've finished one, but I've been busy moving, christmassing for the kids, being pregnant, and working so whatever. This one is for my long time friend Amanda. We've been friends since we's youngsters and we used to draw a lot together. She wanted something to do with Spam, so I painted her sitting in the spam in her rollerskates, and there are a few other things I put in there too that I know she'll love! I'm probably gonna have to show it a few times before I mail it to her. It was fun paintng food, I've never painted food before, and my son loves spam so he's gonna be excited that we can finally crack it open as its no longer needed for reference. Also, the nozzle broke off my matte finish spray and got all over my hands and when i washed it off it took off my nail polish, that just seems weird to me. aaahht 16x10 inches and not for sale but there will be prints available on my etsy!

Hellooow! time for an update!! Okay, firstly: I moved to a new house and have a new art room!!! It has lots of windows and is really awesome and as you can see I'm 7 months pregnant now!! so I will have three sweet babies!! Secondly: I will be hanging some of my work at Thunderbird Coffee in Austin, Texas for January 2011, they have very tasty coffee, food, beer, and other delights, so you should plan a cozy winter afternoon coffee date with yer lover there. Thirdly: Richey has been accepted to the Dirty Show 12!!! so he will be off to Detroit in February!! I hope everyone had a wonderous Christmas and everyone starts their year off with yer heads held highhhh
